Online Money Making Ideas for Newbies without Capital to Invest

Not everybody is in position to invest a lot of money in their online start up and sometimes you need a few ways to generate your first income streams which you can reinvest into the bigger and more profitable ideas.

Online Money Making Ideas for Newbies without Capital to InvestSome of the methods listed here can result in quick cash while others might take a few months to start showing returns so I suggest working on 2-3 of the ideas if you are able to spare the time and since none of these ideas are particularly time intensive you will be able to do them in the evenings if you still have a day job. In fact if you think carefully you will surely find a way for all 3 ideas to overlap and provide some synergy towards a common niche or product.

Remember if you currently have no income you should still continue searching for a job since you cannot predict how long it will take for your Internet income to start paying the bills

Micro Services

Offering micro services online can generate income quickly and if you provide decent service you will be able to make quite a bit of money from it, consider things like writing articles and blog posts or offering manual directory submission services. If you look at Fiverr you will see hundreds of ideas for making some quick money and marketing your services is fairly easy if you use Fiverr or list your services on forums with trade categories.

Create an Adsense Blog

There is no shortage of free blogging services and if you are using blogger AdSense is very easy to integrate, this is definitely a more long term strategy since you will first need approval and it takes time for the traffic to build up but you can build a nice recurring income to help fund other ideas you have or even to supplement your day job income. You can also promote affiliate products with your blog.

Build an affiliate marketing site without investment

There are several free hosting and domain options available, using a host like 0000free with a Free Domain as discussed earlier this week is not the best way to deal with your hosting and domain but it is free and reasonable enough for a start. Find a single product to promote and stick to it, you can build a basic web site with very little knowledge and push the product from there. Since you don’t have all the money in the world try promoting the product offline as well by handing out some flyers which I am sure you can find a way to get for free. Use the local notice boards in your area and instead of having phone number strips to pull off have your website address. Domains and Hosting are actually pretty cheap so make the investment with your first earnings.

General Tips for the early days

Diversify, yes the sniper focus is needed later to make big money but in the beginning you are still learning and the sooner you find something that sticks the betterStart building e-mail lists early, the sooner the betterUse article marketing and build lenses, it is free and it worksNever stop promoting, forum signatures, e-mail signatures, anything that gets trafficPick high demand niches where you know there will be lots of moneySocial networking is free marketing, get stuck in on day 1Never give up, it is hard work and your motivation will become incredibly importantLeverage your own skills before playing with ideas that you need to spend time learningTrack your progress, Google analytics is free, spreadsheets are free. Use the toolsAvoid spending all your time reading guides and spend more time getting work done

The really nice thing about these ideas and methods is that they will always make money for you even once you are well on your way to riches through your own products and networks these starting points will still generate income for you.

An Article Marketing Strategy that works

I am obviously a strong supporter of article marketing and at least for me it has always been a successful traffic driver to my sites and affiliate pages so I would like to share my tactic or strategy for article marketing with you.
Firstly I do not view article marketing as SEO only or a just another traffic channel, I place it in a bigger box encompassing SEO, Traffic Generation, Lead Generation, Brand or Product awareness and Hype or Buzz Creation. A well planned and executed article campaign should target all of these areas.
Lets assume you have a website or product that needs promotions already and you have article content to use for the promotion campaign. Avoiding the argument of duplicate vs unique content I will only say that my strategy does rely on varied content and you will understand why simply by looking at the diagram.
The idea is straight forward and does not involve any strange concepts, instead the goal is to provide readers with choices and variation without losing the visitor. Most article directories or similar services allow 2-3 outbound links which gives you some flexibility to link back not only to your own site or product but also to other articles you have written related to the content.
A picture is worth a thousand words in this case and I believe that the diagram explains it best but in short you want to create a web of interlinked articles that all ultimately funnel to your primary page or related pages with the preference being shared revenue directories for your alternative links
Article Marketing Tips for the Method
Vary the keywords and anchors used for the linking, I like using long tail keywords in the mix as well but you can focus on your primary keywords if you prefer.Driving traffic to shared revenue platforms adds another income stream to your process, be careful though since you do not want to lose leads to advertisements from your competitorsLeverage the social power of Hubpages & Squidoo to create some hype around your product in addition to the buzz created by flooding content.Do not abuse these services including self maintained services like Blogger or Tumblr since you could get banned and lose all your links and hard work
Of course you can vary this strategy slightly and you always be careful not to cross the line into spam territory, providing well written and informative content is a lot less likely to attract bad attention from site administrators. This article marketing strategy has worked well for me on most projects and can be applied to any number of articles.

Free tools to help understand your link profile

Link building is time consuming and to be honest you will do far better if you can spend your time producing content which generates money so lets look at some free tools to help automate and improve your SEO

The more of your tasks you can automated to more efficient you will become and for those with experience in Internet marketing you will already understand that more often than not we are playing a numbers game. The more content you can produce the more traffic you will be able to generate and convert. Unfortunately there are tasks that need to be completed to make all of this work and building back links can be a time consuming process. Here are some of the tools I use to speed things up.

Checking Links

Link Diagnosis – A great tool which lets you see the value of links and compare anchor texts which will save you a lot of time analyzing you own site but even more time when looking at the competition.Digital Point Backlink checker –  As a free member you are only able to track 20 deep but if you like the tool you probably be more than happy to pay for premium membership and the ability to track links 200 deepWebmaster Tools – Remember that Google, Yahoo, Bing & Yandex all keep track of links as well so don’t forget to have a look there, Alexa is another source of quick back link overviews.

These tools won’t build the links for you but they will definitely cut down on the time you spend researching and understanding your back link profile. Remember that quality back links are worth far more than thousands of spam links so spending a bit of time getting the right back links is important.

A look at Google’s New Ad Formats – Watch This Space

For those of you that have not noticed yet Google has some new Ad formats and sizes on the way which will be available on the display network, doubleclick and Youtube.

Firstly getting some new formats is probably long overdue, visitors have become incredibly blind to most formats and publishers have been struggling to maintain their CTR, I think there are a lot of reasons for this but blindness to specific ad formats is definitely one reason.

The new Formats

Bigger is better and Google is acknowledging that by adding some massive advert sizes to their selection including

728×300

300×600

960×250

I am sure just by looking at those sizes you can already think of a few places where they will fit nicely and without a doubt increase your CTR. I have some web sites where the 960×250 will absolutely legendary.

What it means for publishers

Well you will have more options now and hopefully see a higher CTR on your pages displaying Google ads, beyond that there will be some new features. The larger ad formats obviously increase the number of links possible inside an advert which means you have a batter chance of getting a click since you providing more options to the visitor.

What it means for advertisers

The campaign seems far more targeted at advertisers and beyond the new ad formats there will be new interfaces to manage your campaigns and conversions including the ability to target visitors that clicked on one of your adverts in the past

In any event hop over to the web page to get more information about the new ad formats and enjoy this introduction video showing off the new formats, there are several videos available on the official site showing some of the new features for adwords customers as well.

Internet Marketing Niche Ideas

Knowing which niches are generally profitable is one of the first steps to successful Internet marketing, personally I do believe that any good idea implemented correctly can be profitable but starting with the soft targets is never a bad thing. Keep in mind that many of these niches are well known and highly competitive.

Firstly there are thousands of ideas and I just want to look at a few of them to give you some ideas and to help explain the logic behind these ideas and why they are successful. I am a big fan of common problem niches or phrased differently problems that many people may face in their lives and the more difficult the problem is to solve the better for conversions. I realize this is the part where some readers will give me that glare of ethical death but lets be honest it is far easier to sell a product that helps with desperation or addiction or extreme emotions than it is to sell most other products and to defend myself and all Internet marketers these niches are virtually identical to cash cows

Money Niches

The world revolves around money, in fact you are most likely reading this very sentence because of money and your aspirations to get more of it in your life. There are hundreds of niches focused around money but some of the most profitable revolve around credit and debt. Amazingly people will spend money to get out of trouble because they spent money, desperation seems to be a strong selling factor here and understandably given the massive levels of debt around the world there is no shortage of potential customers. Selling or marketing good strong products around credit, credit card, loans, bad debt, debt consolidation and general banking systems is incredibly lucrative. On the other side of this coin you can also make a fair amount of money by marketing ways to make money particularly ways to make money online and once again the fact that you are reading this post is evidence of that.

Medical Niches

You just have to look at the GDP of any developed nation to realize that healthcare is HUGE and the modern world is completely dependent on the system, if you decide to tackle some medical niche topics you will be playing in one of the most profitable markets imaginable. The variety of niches here is enormous from day to day topics like acne and teeth whitening to far more serious topics like cancer, targeting addictions is one of the oldest and most profitable methods so do not for a minute think that all the quit smoking and weight loss sites on the Internet are there for love and charity.

Vices & Addictions

Well since selling products that help people quit smoking or gambling are profitable it goes without saying that selling those very same products is also very lucrative. Obviously you need to be very careful in these niches since there are laws and regulations in each country and you do not want to overstep any boundaries. Although slightly different from normal Internet Marketing these niches are cash cows worth the effort if you do not have any moral obligations.

Matters of the Heart

People are emotional and coping with these emotions can be difficult. Online dating, relationship advice and similar topics generate insane volumes of traffic and of course income. To be fair this is a difficult area to tackle since it often requires an active community but finding niches with low competition could be a ticket to riches. One of the most popular niches focuses around getting back a partner after breaking up.

The Internet Marketing niche ideas listed here should not be viewed as opportunistic but rather accepted for the lesson they contain which is that all profitable niches rely on needs which buyers feel they cannot escape and in some cases it is the truth while in other cases it is entirely about perception.

Disclaimer: I in no way advocate taking advantage of people with problems or difficulties in life. I 100% support useful and helpful content or products that truly benefit the intended audience.

Profiles Links should be part of your Link Strategy

Any back linking strategy will include multiple methods of link building from the standard blog comments, forums posts and social bookmarking to more creative techniques like article marketing, hubs and lenses but one of the easiest source of links is still profile links.

From the onset lets be clear, profile links cannot hurt your site in any way differently to other link building practices. There is a lot of arguing around the value of profile links but you do not have to worry that you will hurt your site by using profile links in your back link campaign so there is no reason not to include profile links in your SEO plans.

What are profile links?

Forums, blogs, wikis and most online services allow you to create a profile when you register and these profiles are often unmoderated which means that you can get away with creating accounts you may not intend to use. Depending on the website you will normally be able to add a short biography and the best part is that it will allow HTML which means you can include your anchor texts.

So the idea is quite simple, create an account and add a biography or edit your profile to include a link back to your site using your targeted keyword.

Tips for building profile links

Check that the profile pages are dofollowAvoid spam and contribute to the community with postsCheck the page rank (remember it bleeds a little from root so 0 on the profile is not quite 0)Keep the number of links per profile reasonable

Given how easy it is to get profile links I can only recommend including them in your strategies and for the time being there is no argument that they work and work well particularly since they are usually anchored.

Shared Revenue Marketing with Hubpages, Squidoo and Knol

Shared revenue marketing falls into the same category as traditional article marketing, the major difference is that the platforms are very social in nature with rankings, reviews and scoring systems. The services listed here all have revenue sharing features as well which can supplement your income even further making it a great all round marketing tactic.

I like to think of article marketing as a way to funnel visitors to your website and since you are driving targeted traffic you will generally be able to maintain a good conversion ratio even at low traffic volumes. For the most part you are leveraging the high traffic volumes on these sites to drive traffic into your own site. The sites we are looking at here are not pure article directories but the principle is very similar.

Hubpages

Hubpages is by far my favorite site in this category, the interface is neat and clean while being easy to use and the revenue sharing options are by far the most generous and comprehensive. Links placed in your hubs are dofollow only if you hubber score is about 75 however obtaining a decent hubscore is not particulary difficult if you have good content to share.

The revenue sharing model uses your own money making ids and you receive a 60% share in pageviews. You are able to link your AdSense, Amazon, Ebay and Kontera accounts although it should be noted that getting approval for a ebay partner account without a website can be difficult.

Squidoo

Building Squidoo lenses is a lot of fun, they have a scoring system which helps you track your progress as you move along in a typical gaming style. If that is not your cup of tea there is an option to disable the feature but I think most people will find it a lot of fun.

The revenue sharing on Squidoo is not done with your own ids and accounts, instead Squidoo calculates the share and pays it directly into your Paypal account and you are able to set the payment threshold as low as $5 which is nice for the less patient among us. The revenue sharing options include Amazon, Infolinks and Chitika but since Squidoo manages all the sharing for you it is not that difficult to get set up for monetized pages. Be sure to set your earning to be paid in cash under your profile since by default the earnings are donated to charity.

Google Knol

Google Knol is best explained as a hybrid of Hubpages and Wikipedia and it should be noted that the rules for knols are far stricter than what you will find on Hubpages or Squidoo. Building pages with the sole purpose of funneling traffic to other sites is frowned open and could result in your pages being removed so be sure to offer real value.

The only revenue sharing available is via AdSense however 100% of the earnings are credited to your account and although you have to wait for up to 2 weeks for approval from knol it is more than worth it with a 100% share. An important point here is that knol links are nofollow however you will still be able to generate traffic from the clicks.

General Tips

Hubpages and knol allow you to integrate Google analytics to track your traffic, make sure you create new profiles and set up tracking if you want to nurture these pages into real traffic machines.Include pictures and videos where possible to attract reader attention while increasing your ratings and scoresAlthough this post is from a marketing perspective you can use these services purely as an income stream if you do not have a websiteRemember to create informative and high quality pages, even if you are building the pages purely for marketing make sure they do not come across as blatant spam.Tweet

Advertising Translates To Success For The Home-based Business

You might think that a home-based business, which you have started, is completely "auto-pilot" and there is no more work to be done once you are set up in the business. If you think this, chances are pretty good that you are deceiving yourself, because this is simply not the way that it goes with a home business. If you want the best chance of success, you need to start with advertising, and you have to always continue advertising, no matter how successful you think you are. Granted, a lot of home-based internet businesses are set up to be "auto-pilot" and they are, to some extent. But there is still work to be done, and that work is advertising!

Types Of Advertising

When you first start advertising for your home business, you are going to have a decision to make. There are several types of advertising, and you have to decide which of them is going to benefit you. The differences in them are what make them good for one business and not-so-good for the next. The two main types of advertising that you might be thinking about would be either online or internet advertising, or local advertising. In order to decide which type of advertising is going to work best for you, you have to decide where your target customers are. If your home-based business is something local, like a cafe or welding/fabricating shop, or something that relies on local customers, you are going to want to focus on localized advertising. However, if you are selling a product that can be shipped anywhere, or doing some kind of service that can be done from your home, you are going to benefit more from having internet or online advertising. This is because you can have a business that is always open and ready to receive business, and you can find that this is very rewarding and very beneficial for you.

No matter what, advertising is going to benefit you because advertising is the only way that your idea, your product, or your service can get into the hands of your "hungry" customers. You will not make money if you don't take action, and the action you need to take is advertising! This gets the word out about you and what you are offering. By using advertising in a smart and correct manner, you are going to help build your business, from the foundation up, and be way more successful in the long run. It is truly the best and smartest thing anyone could do for their home business-period!

Eight AdSense Money Making Steps To 12K A Month In Revenue

These days much of the online conversation about AdSense is focused around AdSense no longer being a viable opportunity for making money online.

My opinion is completely different. I know first hand that AdSense is a viable revenue source but in order to be successful you have to approach it correctly. It takes work something many people hate.

In this post, I will give you my view of seven steps to making 12K a month with Adsense.

Of course, your results may vary but this is my method to earn money online with AdSense.

Step 1: Your Niche Must Be Highly Profitable

With AdSense I start by selecting a niche where the price to advertise keywords is at least $5.00 per click on the Google AdWords side. This ensures I get a good share of the revenue when a user clicks the Google AdSense ad on my website.

By opening a Google AdWords account and setting up a fake campaign you can manually filter through various niches and find highly profitable niches.

The method I prefer is using Keyword Country which provides access to the top paying AdSense keywords with the click of a button.

I never focus on the highest paying keywords because they are normally way to competitive and saturated. I focus on keywords with bid prices in the range of $5 to $15 per click.

Once I find some niches I run that data against Google trends to make sure the traffic trend is solid. If it is declining rapidly I don’t use that niche.

Step 2: Research And Look For Golden Opportunity

Every niche has keywords that are super competitive. I never focus on these. Therefore, once I select a high paying Adsense niche I focus on finding long tail keywords with good search counts.

For example, if I select the niche of Teeth Whitening I would probably not focus the site around that keyword. I would pick other less competitive keywords like professional teeth whitening, zoom teeth whitening, Colgate teeth whitening products, etc..

All these keywords have decent search volumes and much less competition then the generic term teeth whitening.

By focusing on less competitive keywords I can normally land in the top 10 of Google with a little SEO work. I will describe SEO in future steps.

Step 3: Building Content Fast

After doing my research I have the map for my site and start building content. For speed I outsource my content writing. You can outsource at elance, guru.com or just do an google search for article writing.

I pay around $10 an article and the content is of good quality unique content.

It is important you get good quality original content, your goal should be to build a nice quality site that covers the key topics in your niche.

I normally start with about 30 articles and expand the site once I start making money.

The key to this step is make sure you get good quality unique articles.

Step 4: Building The Site Foundation

While my articles are being written I head over to Bluehost, where I host unlimited domains for the low monthly fee of $6.95 a month.

For my domain name, I always try to be creative and keep it as short as possible. My highest searched keyword will always be in the beginning of the domain.

Once I have a domain added onto my Bluehost account, I do the 1 click install of WordPress to get my site started.

With WordPress installed I now have the foundation to build my site. I find a nice quality WordPress theme with light colors and design a nice looking logo. If you don’t have graphic skills you can outsource logo design for $25. Try elance, or guru.com.

Step 5: Building The Site

Now that I have my sites foundation ready to go, when my articles begin arriving I start building my site via WordPress pages. Each page of the site is a keyword focused page.

I set my home page as a static page in the WordPress options. I build the home page on the highest paying keyword from my chosen long tail list. This is normally the same keyword that appears in my domain name.

For SEO I use the All In One SEO plugin and put the keyword early in the page title, H1, meta description of each page on the site. I also edit each permalink url to be keyword focused. I make sure my internal page links on my sidebar are keyword rich links.

In the page content I weave in AdSense ads using the Adsense Deluxe plugin. I also have some ad placements in the theme design.

Step 6: Links, Links and More Links

Once I have my site designed with lots keyword rich articles, I next focus on link building.

Versus finding link partners by sending e-mail after email to webmasters, I lookup whois records of other sites in my niche. I get the webmasters phone number and use OOMA my free voice over IP phone, to make unlimited free calls.

I get a lot of voicemails, but I always leave a nice message why I called. When I connect with a webmaster I tell them how great their site is and how I have a related site and would like to partner. I ask them to blog roll me and I will do the same.

I’ve had a ton of success with this method and it tremendously helps my search rankings. I normally have no problem getting a site in the top 10 of the search results for my chosen keywords.

One note, some people will get pissed you are calling them if so just move on to the next and forget about it.

I also focus on all the other ways there are to get links. Quality blog commenting, directory submission, article submission, squidoo, forums etc… There are tons of ways to get free one way links!

My most highly effective method for getting tons of links is by using
SEO Linkvine. With SEO Linkvine I can get 1000 unique links from blogs all over the web. Each blog post links back to both my home page and internal pages.

One last note, many of you might think reciprocal links don’t work anymore. But that is not true if you balance the reciprocal links with lots of incoming one way links. Having some reciprocal links with one way links looks more natural then all one way links or all reciprocal links. This is a big reason I use SEO Linkvine for easy one way links.

Step 7: Free Content To Make Your Site Expand

One of the things the search engines love is updating content. I hate to keep buying articles for my site, so I use the blogging function of WordPress combined with My Article Network and SEO Linkvine , to get unique updating content to my site.

With My Article Network and SEO Linkvine you’ll be surprised of the quality of unique content you can deliver to your blog. Sure it might have an outgoing link or two but who cares. Each post expands my site giving me more SEO internal links for my AdSense money pages. Also I put AdSense ads on each blog post which drives more revenue.

I just create a few categories in WordPress and link them up with the appropriate category at My Article Network/SEO Linkvine and I have free frequently updating content.

This is a super handy feature for my site and also drives additional traffic and AdSense revenue.

Step 8: Repeat, Repeat, Repeat

I’m a pretty busy guy but by working part-time I have my sites up and running with tons of links in 2 to 3 weeks. My target is to get each site to produce between $1000 to $1500 a month. I’ve invested a total of $300 to $500 to build each site so the return is excellent.

By producing 1 site a month you can see the earnings potential with Ad Sense is still alive!

Have fun and don’t rush things. All you need is one site a month, then at the end of a year you’ll have 12 sites. If you can achieve $1000 a month per site, that $12,000 per month or $144,000 per year!
